Its what others say that really counts

Trescom is a young and dynamic organisation that has a readiness to go the extra mile when there is certainty of an activity generating high impact outcomes. For example, they produced additional training materials and established an on-line group for BME members. They would endeavour to meet targets that were found to be more challenging then initially anticipated. For example, they invested additional time producing a toolkit that proved to be harder than expected as the needs of the organisations involved in the project varied. They also adapted and realigned their targets when new approaches were judged as necessary when the clients’ needs became clearer through needs analysis exercises. For example, the training was split into two tiers and provided separately to the more able and the least able trainees.
The work they delivered covered three components:
Delivering bespoke training to ‘middle managers’ at individual NHS organisations to help them go beyond the Race Relations (Amendment) Act 2000 requirements and understand how they can mainstream race equality into their workstreams.
Create a train the trainer’s package on race equality impact assessing, train trainers to use it, and support them in using the packs to cascade down the training.
Establish a consultation forum for BME community members, recruit members, select them, facilitate meetings and marketing documentation, using a framework that can be replicated on a local basis.
"To conclude, I would describe Trescom as a reliable and innovative consultancy that is committed to fulfilling a projects targets, on time and within budgetary constraints. They are an organisation that provides value for money. I would recommend them to deliver work similar to that described above and would be delighted to discuss my contract experiences with them further with any interested parties.”
Matthew James General Manager (Equality and Change Programme), Northumberland, Tyne and Wear Strategic Health Authority.

“Trescom played a big part in making our first Start up Scholarship Scheme such a success. Offering support to social entrepreneurs can be quite a challenge, and when we were looking for an organisation to work with us to support the entrepreneurs, we knew that it wouldn't be easy to find people with the right skills. Trescom, with their knowledge of social enterprise and their friendly, professional approach to doing business, helped us in a big way to make the Scheme a success.”
Rob Greenland, Start-up Scholarship Scheme Manager, WYSE School

“Trescom carried out an in-depth survey of Manningham in autumn 2004 as part of the Masterplan led by GVA Grimley. As they know the area well, I was expecting good results, but they still managed to exceed my expectations through a systematic approach and a sound technical analysis of the results.”
Martin Van Zeller, Regeneration Policy Co-ordinator, City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council

“The Learning and Skills Council West Yorkshire has been working with Trescom for the past year to promote Equality and Diversity in Work Based Learning Providers. Their enthusiasm and open and flexible approach to working with both the learning providers and the Learning and Skills Council is very much appreciated by all those involved in the project and I look forward to its successful completion.”
Louise Hunt, Equality Specialist, Learning and Skills Council West Yorkshire

“Many, many thanks for your presentation today!! It was very much appreciated. Feedback has been very positive.”
Terry Murphy, CVL

"Great to hear your presentation, and briefly to speak to you at the social enterprise event last Friday. I think it was a very inspiring presentation, your honesty and describing how you evolved was most refreshing. I feel that honesty and openess is quite rare. Your journey is something that every Social Enterprise should be aware of. The work you are doing is very important and needs to be seen by anyone who is interested. The real test is how much you remember the next day, and your presentation was still the only one that stuck in my mind!"
Haniff Din, Technical Director, Community Ventures Limited
Third Sector ‘Social Enterprise’ Event, Middlesbrough 28 November 2008

“Trescom worked with a local community enterprise organisation to train local people for the intermediate labour market to undertake local social research on behalf of the Sure Start local programme. The first piece of work that was produced was a level of satisfaction survey. Trescom worked well to ensure the training was provided, and were flexible in their approach to our local needs, and responsive to the pace of the individuals contributing to the learning process of this venture. The local group has since established as a free-lance community research group, and have undertaken more training to land many more pieces of work for a wide range of services and projects including further work for the Sure Start local programme.”
Denise Campbell, Project Manager, Sure Start Deighton and East Far Town
