Saeeda Ahmed (BA Hons; MSt Cantab.); Director of Equality and Diversity & Social Enterprise.
Saeeda has a BA (Hons.) in Accountancy. Before she became involved in the social enterprise sector, Saeeda had worked for the voluntary, community and public sector for a number of years. Saeeda has coordinated a number of community projects and worked as a general manager at a local Research firm before setting up Trescom Research & Consultancy. Saeeda’s expertise lies in Equality and Diversity and Social Enterprise Support. Saeeda is a Millennium Award winner, a Fellow of the School for Social Entrepreneurs and is undertaking a Masters in Community Enterprise at the University of Cambridge. Saeeda has worked extensively with minority ethnic communities, and what is termed ‘hard-to-reach’ groups, in local regeneration and development. Saeeda is a prominent public speaker on enterprise, diversity, corporate social responsibility and empowerment. She has delivered numerous seminars, workshops and public speeches here in the U.K and overseas including Warsaw, Belgium (The European Parliament), The Middle East and Germany. Marbat Hussain BA (Hons.) Head of Marketing and Promotions.
Marbat has a degree with honours in Business Administration and a Diploma in Youth and Community Work. He is a Millennium Award winner and a Fellow of the School for Social Entrepreneurs. Marbat has previously worked in the voluntary, community, public and private sector before he got involved in the ‘Third Sector’. He has worked as a Youth Work Leader for over 15 years. As is passion is Marketing for Trescom, Marbat specialises in marketing and branding for mainstream business and social enterprises and to date has helped many companies develop the right look. For Trescom Marbat is the lead person when it comes to making sure its projects always have the winning look.
Georgios Vournas (MA PhD); Director of Research and Training.
Georgios completed his PhD in Social Policy at the Department of Applied Social and Economic Sciences, Bradford University in 1999. His previous academic profile includes an MA in Social and Community Work Studies. Georgios is a qualified social worker and has previously worked for the community and voluntary sector. Before setting up Trescom he was employed as Manager of Research at Istikhara Research. His work with Trescom has focused on evaluation and research management, project management and financial management. Georgios is a Board Member and member of the Finance and Fundraising Sub-committee of Artworks, a Bradford-based charity and social enterprise working in the community and arts sector.
Alistair Bamford (TechIOSH); Associate Consultant (Quality Assurance).
Alistair has 20 years experience as a Senior Manager, working for Charities and Social Enterprises involved with vocational learning and work engagement programmes. He is experienced at implementation and auditing quality systems for controlling Government funding, OFSTED requirements, Investors in People and Customer First. Presently involved with regular systems auditing of 2 large national training organisations.
Glynn Jung; Associate Consultant (Leadership and Organisational Development).
Glynn is a highly experienced Consultant, Strategist and Team Manager with over 30 years track-record successfully driving Talent development and Learning programmes. He has been an Associate of Trescom since 2006. He has consistently delivered results exceeding targets and expectations (whether service quality, revenue generation, profitability or impact/ROI etc): over 80% of his assignments are repeat business from satisfied clients and all assignments result from personal recommendations. Glynn is comfortable with fast-track ROI methodologies such as CMA and Proficiency Learning Paths and has successfully driven strategic programmes for clients in the UK, Europe, USA, Middle East and South Africa.
Alan Sneddon; Associate Consultant (Leadership and Organisational Development).
Alan is a highly experienced Consultant specialising in advising and delivering development solutions to a wide range of clients in the public and private sector seeking impartial advice on how to gain the most from organisational initiatives. He spent more than 20 years working within blue chip companies initially in the Finance industry and then in the commercial learning and development market before establishing his own consultancy business in 2001. Alan focused his consultancy on developing high performance through sustained behavioural change and quickly gained recognition from senior executives who benefited from his unique blend of coaching with multiple on-line follow-up channels to ensure actions were implemented with maximum effect. Organisations benefit from his extensive experience in developing and evaluating approaches to support organisations strategies. His practical and down to earth approach enables development of long-term partnership relationships with Clients. For this reason, Alan has delivered year-on year results and improvements with many Clients since establishing his consultancy.
Lilian Black (BA Hons. MA); Associate Consultant (Business Development).
Lilian has been working, since 2004, on a range of strategic projects with public and private sector clients within and outside the region; project development and national and European funding procurement for communities, colleges and universities; workforce development strategies with Further and Higher Education; development of District employer engagement strategies; economic regeneration strategic planning and audits; Narrowing the Gap’ – a regional integration project for ethnic minorities and new migrants. Previously has been a Director for West Yorkshire Business Link, responsible for the establishment, direction and management of the West Yorkshire learndirect Hub and for the learning and skills policy and operations across the group (Business link, International Trade, Education Business link, Social Enterprise link and Incubator link). Previously Lilian was a Director of Business Development for Calderdale College Corporation.
Qashif Parvez - Projects Manager
Qashif has worked at Trescom for 4 years and has been involved with a number of community engagement projects in the West Yorkshire area. Over the last 12 months he has been overseeing the highly successful Stepping Stones project engaging/re-engaging people from deprived areas of Leeds in to education.
Christopher William O'Hagan - Training Officer
Chris has worked for Trescom for 4 years. His original role was as an Admin Assistant and following internal development and external training, he has grown into his present role of Training Officer. He heads up a team in Bradford working on projects to assisted people with training and finding employment.
